I decided to start this group to meet others who are interested in horseback riding, caring for their horses, provide a forum to network and share information about stables, trainers, riding events, and even set up a board to buy/sell/swap our used tack etc. I am not limiting this to any particular discipline since there seems to be A LOT of folks interested in a horse meetup group and the only thing I'm aware of is the Parelli Meetup group.
